Elementary School Program – First through Third Grade

At Cornerstone Learning Center in Grapevine, the goal in our elementary school program is to recognize each student as an individual and to meet the needs of each individual student with a solid foundation in the core academic subjects. As children progress to the elementary level we continue to use the A Beka® Christian curriculum, a phonics based program. The physical environments of our classrooms are set up in such a way that they foster the development of positive self-esteem, independence, communication and problem-solving skills.

At Cornerstone we are committed to helping your child develop in three critical areas:

1. Mentally, through excellent educational instruction
2. Physically, through fun, stimulating, and physical activities, and
3. Spiritually, through Christ-centered teaching and example.

We believe this is the “cornerstone” of a solid foundation for life.

The A Beka® Christian curriculum is divided into different subject matters featuring progressive curriculum for each grade level. The main subject headings are as follows:
